My favorite spots and aspects of Sevilla
Plaza de España

The Plaza de España is a must see spot in Sevilla. It consists of beautiful mosaics, towers, a manmade river for small rowboats, and a beautiful fountain. The plaza symbolizes Spain and embraces all of its colonies, and the mosaics throughout the building beautifully represent each province.
Catedral de Sevilla

The architecture of Sevilla's Cathedral is so intricate, I will be awestruck every time I see it. Located directly in the center of the city, you are able to walk by it very often, with its white stone carvings and the amazing Giralda tower standing tall. From the top of the tower you are able to get a glimpse of the entire city!
Maria Luisa Park

Directly connected to the Plaza de España is Maria Luisa Park, full of fountains, flowers, and picnic spots. It is the perfect place in the city to visit on a warm, sunny day!
Horse and carriages

One of the things that makes this city so romantic are the horse and carriages you will find clacking down the cobblestone roads. A lot of the tour guides also speak some English, so they will point out historic landmarks and their favorite spots!
The roof of our residencia

I lived in a house style building (residencia), with 17 other study abroad students. Our favorite place to spend time talking and laying out in the blazing sun, was on our roof. It was also a great spot to watch the sunset from (like in this picture!).
Plaza del Cabildo

Located in the main part of the city, this open plaza has detailed paintings that make it feel like you are in a whimsical place. On Sundays they have an art market where local vendors come together to sell their work. It is a great place to pick up a souvenir!
